Activity by year
Flights logged each year since the station went live.
The traffic curve
Visible flights per month since 2016. Vertical lines date the crossing of each million contacts; clicking a month opens the log for that period.
Day by day activity
Each cell is a day: the denser it is, the more flights the station saw. Recent days are read live from the log.
First visits
Aircraft seen for the very first time each year.
The first ones
The first five entries in the log, April 2016.

Records
Every record passes the plausibility guard and requires corroboration: coherent trace neighbours, or both contact endpoints in agreement. An isolated point is never elected. Candidates discarded for lack of corroboration: 2,343.
Contact time
Duration is the time between the first and last received messages: the station measures its reception, not the flight. Scope: confirmed contacts, inconsistent dates excluded.
Duration distribution
Cumulative contact time since 2016 : 6,261,764 h (of which confirmed contacts : 5,799,343 h)
The longest-contact record is under review: each candidate is verified individually before publication.
Cumulative contact time per aircraft
ADSB adoption, by category
Share of contacts carrying at least one position, per year, a proxy for ADSB equipment. As the raw messages were not kept, this share is rebuilt from the position counter alone.
The other faces of rarity
Rarity is not only about aircraft: some types, countries and operators have only been captured a handful of times.

Unconfirmed captures
4,807 aircraft whose contacts never reach the quality threshold: too few positions, too short a contact, no callsign. These rows stay in the log, out of the rankings. They document the limits of reception, often an address corrupted by a transmission error.
